Responsible for the maintenance, repair, reliability and safe operation of the mechanical component of the Unit’s systems and equipment.
• Regularly inspects the mechanical component of the Unit’s operations equipment.
• Performs periodic inspections of the machinery, controlling parameters and indicators, ensuring that they operate efficiently, with full availability and with minimal expenditure of resources.
• Keeps the Mechanical Supervisor informed about ongoing activities and detected anomalies.
• Ensures that emergency equipment is tested frequently and responds efficiently if necessary.
• Ensures compliance with OPS procedures whenever its activity involves the dismantling of equipment or systems, assesses the situation, checks the need and availability of resources and tools, identifies potential risks arising from the activity, follows Isolation procedures, performs the activity with the least possible impact on the operation of other equipment/systems and with maximum economy and efficiency in the use of resources.
• Executes the maintenance plan in accordance with OPS procedures and ensures that activities are recorded and properly updated.
• Participates in the implementation of the OPS Permit to Work System and supports its implementation, following instructions and procedures, carrying out a correct Risk Assessment and Isolation Standards.
• Participates in the prevention of accidents in the surrounding environment, property, people and the environment, following procedures in responding to emergency situations, respecting the different roles and responsibilities of each individual in these situations.
Education – 12th grade + technical-professional training
Minimum 3 years experience.
Technical Skills •
. Very good general knowledge of Mechanics;
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance;
• Knowledge of Saltwater Treatment Pumps, Caterpillar Diesel Engines – Ignition, Caterpillar Diesel Engines and compression systems (ATLAS CBT);
• Specific training on the machines and tools used in the workplace;
• Practice in the processes and equipment to be used;
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment;
• Knowledge of HSE.
