Responsible for preparation, execution and close out of Maintenance activity, providing leadership in safety and quality, coaching, and motivation to team members. Responsible for the productive and efficient utilisation of resources (both physical and human) and developing a good team ethos, which includes both a bottom up and a top down approach. The Area Lead must operate in accordance within Bilfinger / Sabic standards for all maintenance activities

- Preparation, execution and close out of Maintenance activity in accordance with site and company systems and procedures.
- Operate and build relationships with other members of the Client.
- Ensures that the workforce is adequately briefed with regard to work plans, procedures, and practices.
- An active member of the team in terms of auditing.
- Manage maintenance and service provider’s personnel as required.
- Liaise with planning group to analyse progress and individual efficiency.
- Provide technical support in all aspects of a multi-discipline team.
- Compile Job Methodologies and Risk Assessments.
- Reviews work plans and schedule to enable efficient coordination of work activities.
- Executes work in line with relevant technical standards, Bilfinger CMS, current CDM regulations and Sabic operating procedures.
- To capture all variations and/or changes to the original scope of work under their control via the (COWS) change of work scope procedure.
- Ensures all correct materials and equipment are available for the work scope or project
- Challenges the norm and drives safety and efficiency in the field.
- Holds regular Safety and Planning meetings with Supervision (Task Owners) to set expectations and performance.
- Performance management of direct reports using the Bilfinger personal review procedure.
- Arranges and coordinates call out requirements within their Area.
