Field Engineer – Electrical
Knowledge Skills And Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
. Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Oil ReRnery or Petro-Chendcal Plant for construction work wjth
responsibility for field engineering, contracts, project planning and supervision.
. Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration and project management and
e Understanding ofLabour Ordinances and its application to contract work and site management
practices.
. Must be folly conversant with electrical installations in classified areas such as National Electric Code
(NEC), 2) American Petroleum Institute (API) 3) International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) 4)
[EEE Codes 5) Hazardous Area c]assification SoLmd. W’orking know]edge ofthe Nationa] E]ectric Code
(lwc).
. Must have experience on installation, testing and commissioning of:
1. Electrical Distribution Systems, up to llKV. This includes associated transformers, switch-gear, ring main units and cabling.
2. MCC’s (Motor Control Centres) and motors up to llKV. This includes oil, air and vacuum controllers.
3. Electrical Systems in classified areas up to 16KV.
4. Commercial Electrical Systems, mainly in office buildings.
5. Industrial Lighting Systems.
6. Conditioned Power Systems, these include UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply and voltage regulators.
7. Stand-by Power Supply, including emergency generators, battery systems and automatic change-over facilities.
8. Fire and Security Systems.
9. All types of circuit installations using cables, MICC CMineral [nsulated Copper Conductor) and conduits
. Good interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written in English.Knowledge ofArabic preferred.
. Proficiency in software packages/tools- Primavera, E-MPAC, Oracle and
MS Ofhce applications.
. Possess a valid light driving license.
